About Lily
I'm Lily, founder of HERA Wellness Studio, registered acupuncturist, nutritionist and facialist with over 16 years of experience in skin and holistic health.
HERA began in 2017 during my studies in Nutritional Medicine, where my early work focused on supporting inflammatory skin conditions including acne, eczema and rosacea through the combination of nutrition and skincare. That work shaped a belief I still hold: that skin health is rarely just about the skin. It reflects what's happening inside the body, and real change comes from working with both.
My own skin journey shaped this too. Early in my career as a beauty therapist, I struggled with acne. It pushed me to look beyond the surface and understand how stress, hormones, digestion and lifestyle leave their mark on skin. That curiosity eventually led me to acupuncture and what drew me there was its ability to see the whole person rather than a single symptom.
HERA opened about six months before I found out I was pregnant. Becoming a mother deepened everything. It gave me a more personal understanding of what women carry, what they need and how rarely they're given space to simply receive. It also allowed me to shape my work into something that works alongside motherhood, for me and for the many mothers and women at every stage of life who walk through the door.
From the beginning, I knew the experience around the treatment mattered as much as the treatment itself. No pressure, no rushing, no sense that you're just moving through a schedule. Just a quiet, private space where you can let go of the outside world for a moment, reconnect with yourself and remember what it feels like to be completely at ease. A space where you feel seen, heard and taken care of.
Today my practice brings together facial therapy, cosmetic acupuncture, skin needling, lymphatic enzyme therapy and women's health acupuncture, treating each client as the whole person they are, not just the concern they arrived with.
My foundation is a Diploma of Beauty Therapy, a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine and a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture. I'm registered with AHPRA and the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia and am a member of AACMA. Alongside my formal qualifications I've trained continuously across skin needling, cosmetic acupuncture, facial massage techniques and specialised areas including abdominal scar release and facial acupuncture with some of Australia's and the world's leading practitioners.
I look forward to welcoming you.
