A cleanser, an exfoliator and a moisturiser in one bottle. No water, no surfactants, no foam. Just pressed plant oils and a cloth.
The base is golden jojoba, a liquid plant wax close enough to our own sebum that skin takes it without argument. It lifts the day off, loosens what has settled in pores, and leaves the barrier intact. Nothing stripped, so nothing to repair afterwards. For skin that has been through a long routine of actives and foaming washes, this often feels like the first thing that has asked nothing of it.
Frankincense is the note that gives this one its character. Quiet, resinous, a little ceremonial. It sits alongside Cape chamomile and yarrow, both rich in azulene, which is where the faint blue cast in the bottle comes from. Tamanu adds density. Seabuckthorn brings its omegas and a warm apricot colour. Vetiver holds water in the skin. Grapefruit and palmarosa lift and balance the whole thing.
Who it suits
Skin that runs warm and reactive. Skin that feels thinned out or overworked. Anyone who wants their evening cleanse to be one step rather than four. It works on the face, the body, and the ends of dry hair, and doubles as an aftershave.
How to use
Face. Wet a small section of a face cloth and wring it out. One or two pumps onto the damp cloth. Massage the face, neck and back of the neck. Press gently, or work more firmly if you want a little exfoliation. Rinsing is optional. If skin still wants more, warm another pump between your fingertips and press it in.
Body. Stay wet after your shower. A few pumps onto a wrung-out washcloth, then massage from the shoulders down. More pressure where skin is rough.
Elsewhere. A single drop through damp ends to smooth frizz. A little on the scalp before washing. After a day in the sun. As an aftershave.
Prime the pump with a firm press or two when the bottle is new.
