Living Libations Green Papaya + Lime Mask
Exfoliation without abrasion.
Enzymes from green papaya and pineapple, which digest the protein bonds holding dead cells to the surface. And fruit acids from lemon, lime and raw sugar cane, which loosen the same layer by a different route. Neither one scrubs. Nothing is sanded off. The skin lets go of what it was ready to release, and the rest stays where it belongs.
The base keeps it comfortable. Aloe and jojoba hold moisture through the treatment, rosewater cools, horsetail and comfrey and red clover sit underneath doing the quieter work. It smells like a citrus grove, sharp and green.
Fifteen minutes and skin reads differently. Smoother under the fingertips, more even in tone, and noticeably better at taking whatever goes on next.
Who it's for
Congested skin. Dull skin. Texture that has built up over a winter of not much attention. Weekly is plenty for most people. If your skin runs sensitive, start at ten minutes and see how it sits.
How to use it
Smooth over clean, dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Massage lightly as you apply. Leave for fifteen to thirty minutes, then rinse until the water runs clear. It can also be left on overnight when skin wants a longer treatment.
Follow with a Best Skin Ever or a serum while skin is still damp.
Use it at night. The citrus makes skin photosensitive, so this is not a mask to wear into the sun, and sunscreen the next morning is non-negotiable. Don't layer it with retinol or vitamin C in the same session.
Ingredients
Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba), Aloe barbadensis (Aloe Vera), Rosa damascena (Rosewater) Hydrosol, Citrus aurantium dulcis (Orange Peel) Wax, Equisetum arvense (Horsetail), Symphytum officinale (Comfrey Root), Trifolium pratense (Red Clover), Saccharum officinarum (Sugar Cane), Citrus limon (Lemon Peel), Citrus aurantifolia (Lime Peel), Carica papaya (Papaya), Ananas sativus (Pineapple), Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender), Salvia officinalis (Sage) and Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) CO2 extracts.
Wildcrafted and organic, made in small batches.
